Hello backers,

It's been a while since I've updated, but wanted to share some pictures final components from the manufacturer.  Keep in mind these were probably taken on their phone so we aren't talking his res, but we think it's enough to get excited about.

Things are continuing to going smoothly and we expect to be on schedule for June.  

On a side note, there are still about 300 of you that have not answered the survey.  Without that completed, we will not be able to deliver anything to you.  We really want to deliver, so please please please make sure to fill out your surveys.

Worlds Combine - Updated Playmat Art is Here

Hi Everyone, 

When I arrived in the office today I thought we had adopted a lost puppy because of a constant gentle whine that echoed through the halls.  Upon closer inspection - it was simply a sustained squee resonating through the building over the final playmat art we received.  I myself have just finished my extended expression of appreciation over its awesomeness.

 

 As you can see, the art from the Dark Mountains Board has been blended with the art from the original board to create a more coherent look.  And we've added a quick reference for the blame chart.  We think it looks awesome.

If you haven't picked one up, you can still add one in the pledge manager.  If you have, we hope you like it as much as we do!

Vikings Invade China - On Schedule

Hey Everyone,

The above is perhaps a dramatic way to say...we've sent our files to the printer and everything is in the process of being laid out for production.  Everything is still on schedule to make our expected delivery date which is exciting news for us and for you too.  (And let's be fair - with the amazing number of copies you ordered - it's pretty much an invasion!)

We have made several small tweaks to the files before sending them out including another round of rule-book edits correcting and clarifying the things you all pointed out and providing some more notes for easily overlooked rules and improving some of the examples of play.

Additionally, we have heard the concerns some of you have with the berserker dice and though we were satisfied with their original aesthetic, we certainly always want to make as many of our fans happy as possible.  We have revisited them and re-reviewed the colors and decided that the combination we had was a little candy-like and have adjusted them accordingly.  They are now a slightly paler shade of pink with a grey engraving.

Please note that the above image shows our closest approximation of final colors though it can appear quite different on different monitors and will most definitely appear slightly different in final print.  

We appreciate the passion that everyone has brought to this project and the care they have for the aesthetic.  We share that passion and hope that ultimately the vast majority of you will be satisfied with every part of the game the game when it arrives.

Updated Rulebooks Now Available

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to you all that we have updated rules for you to check out. 

These are not quite the final versions (there are some capitalization inconsistencies that we are aware of and we intend to add a key to the back of each book with quick reference notation for all of the new symbols which appear on the components) but they are very close.

Survey status (plus lock down date) and prototype wood pieces

Hi all,

As of this writing there are only 712 unanswered pledges (good job!).  If you have not completed your pledge manager, please do so.  If you are waiting because you do not know what you want yet, please go ahead and complete it anyway.  You will be able to make changes and updates all the way to the lock down date, which should be around 6/1.  On this date we will charge the card you have on file, finalize your address and start getting ready for the task of getting you pledges shipped to you.  We will send out an update with an exact date once we know it.

I also wanted to share a pic of the wood prototype piece shapes from the printer.  Some of these sizes are incorrect (the meeple is too small and the score token is too big), but the shapes themselves are accurate. 

Also, as of today, we are still on schedule for a June delivery!
