Two brand new stand alone games have funded on Kickstarter! By backing now, you can make sure you get the deluxe versions of the games with all of the exclusive content!

Clans of Midgard, designed by Travis Chance and Alara Cameron, is a draft, write, and fight game in which players play as leaders of Viking clans seeking to gain glory! Conquer territory, fight monsters, sail the seas in your Drakkar, collect powerful runes, and honor your warriors who have passed onto Valhalla. The game features artwork by Clark Miller and Sarah Lafser.

It is for 2-4 players with a playtime of 30 to 45 minutes.

In Reavers of Midgard: The Card Game, designed by Aaron Holland, you are Viking captains trading, raiding, and pillaging through the coastal towns of the Nordic coastline. Plunder gold and acquire prestigious loot. Gain the most GLORY (points) to gain the favor of the Jarl and become their most celebrated captain. The game features artwork by Yaroslav Radetskyi, Clark Miller, and Sarah Lafser.

It is for 2-6 players, with a playtime of 30 to 60 minutes.

Thank you for your past support for our crowdfunding campaigns - I wanted to take a few moments here to let you know that we have two new titles in our Midgard line of games that are launching on Kickstarter soon!

Clans of Midgard is a challenging "draft, write, and fight!" game where each player is a Viking Chieftain attempting to become the greatest Jarl of their age. By drafting a hand of cards, your clan will collect Viking runes, battle monsters, recruit Valkyries,  make offerings to the gods,  and wage battles against each other to claim territories on a central board. Don't worry if you lose the battles however - your brave viking warriors will head to Valhalla and the deities will reward you for their valor.

Reavers of Midgard: The Card Game is a competitive trading and negotiation game where each player is in charge of a Viking longship traveling to destinations in search of gold, glory, and the mightiest reavers for your crews! Each player will have the same hand of destination cards and will secretly pick one and place it face down on the table and reveal them at the same time. If you are alone at a destination, the spoils are all yours! If you find yourself face to face with another captain, however, you must negotiate a split or everyone will suffer the consequences.

We're posting a quick update here to let you know that the sequel to Champions of Midgard, Reavers of Midgard is now live on Kickstarter.

This is a standalone game in the Champions of Midgard universe, a sequel to the original game. The graphic below will give you a sense of how to play the game.

Unrivaled Tournament Series

Some of you may have heard about this already, but for those who have not, Champions of Midgard is one of a number of games involved in the Unrivaled Tournament Series this year.

For those unfamiliar, Unrivaled is a board game tournament that was first launched last year. Gamers from around the US participate in satellite events around the country for a chance to win a big cash prize. If you think you have what it takes to be the one true Jarl this year, ask your friendly local game store if they're participating!

City of Gears

And lastly, we're currently running another big Kickstarter campaign right now.

City of Gears is a steampunk-themed area control game designed by Chris Leder (Roll for It) and Daryl Andrews (Sagrada). We've already blown through a good chunk of stretch goals, including unlocking miniatures for the Founders Edition of the game. Come help us build this city even grander!

Hi All,

I hope that everyone is playing Champions and enjoying their Viking-ing this holiday season.  At this point, except for a few damaged boxes still owed (which will be going out this week), everyone should be enjoying the game.

On the note of enjoying games, we actually have two campaigns currently running (it wasn't our intention to run two at the same time, it sort of happened by accident).

The first game is called Bushido.  It is a 2 (or 4) player head to head card and dice game about dueling martial artists.  It has tested exceedingly well and we expect it to really hit home with anyone who likes the idea of a good CCG, but not the time or money it takes to play one.  It has already funded, and we are starting to unlock some goals.  You can check it our here.

The other game is called Book of Dragons. This was one we sort of accidentally picked up.  It's a long story, but basically, Robert Burke has been a friend of ours for a long time and we agreed to take this one over for him.  This is a really cool concept based on a single deck of tarot sized cards with nothing but beautiful dragon art.   The idea is that we create dozens of different games all designed around nothing but this set of cards.  So far, the designer list is a very impressive one including Martin Wallace (Brass), Mike Fitzgerald (Mystery Runny Series), Jonathan Gilmour (Dead of Winter), David Short (Bomb Squad) and MANY more.  It's only $10 to get in on the base level of this one and I would strongly suggest not to miss out on it.  You can check it out here.
